Family workshop / Portugal

Having an art workshop as a family is a wonderful way to spend quality time together while nurturing creativity. It's a way of interacting with each other and learning the process of creation, both individually and collectively.

During the painting process, we share ideas and decide on a theme or subject for our painting.

Starting a painting can be challenging, as people are often afraid of a blank canvas and realizing their vision. However, taking the first step together and encouraging each family member to express their own unique interpretation of the subject is advantageous. Collaboration can be an exciting way to bring different perspectives and styles together.

The focus should be on exploration and enjoying the process rather than achieving perfection. We explore colors and experiment with materials and techniques. Throughout the painting process, we can share our progress with one another. We encourage everyone to embrace their own style and not compare their work to others. The goal is to enjoy the experience and bond as a family.

I am grateful to be part of this collective painting because it reflects my own creativity as well.

Once the painting is complete, we consider framing and finding a suitable place to hang the painting at home.

I feel fortunate to be able to accompany this process from the idea to the presentation. It brings me a new perspective on my own painting.
