The summer series "Element Fire" captures the passionate force and transformative energy of fire. These works portray the unique intensity of an ignited inner flame that accompanies the process of growth and self-discovery. The bold red tones and dynamic patterns, inspired by southern dance, symbolize the inner fire that remains ever-present despite external challenges, driving us forward. This series illustrates how the fire of inner emotion carries us through internal struggles, strengthens our independence, and helps us unlock our full potential. "Element Fire" is a reminder that our inner self always shines, no matter how chaotic the external circumstances may be.

Summer 2021
The "Fire Series" explores the dual nature of fire—its power to destroy and create, symbolizing transformation. Fire represents pure energy, embodying both creative and destructive forces. When its energy is excessive, it can lead to burnout, aggression, and overwhelming stress, pushing us beyond our limits. Conversely, too little fire brings lethargy, lack of motivation, and an inability to complete tasks, leaving life feeling dull and purposeless.
In this series, I’ve worked directly with fire, burning canvases to evoke the intense sensory experience and lack of control that fire demands. The destruction of the canvas reflects the chaotic yet transformative nature of fire, much like the rebirth of the phoenix from the ashes.
